RWA is pleased to recognize Costco as the first national employer to join the RWA initiative. Began as a Pilot Project during December 2013, in stores within the Greater Toronto area (GTA), the RWA – Costco national partnership has now expanded to include all Costco locations in Canada. With exemplary leadership from Costco senior management, and enthusiastic endorsement and support from all local managers, the partnership has, to date, witnessed the hiring of more than 200 people with intellectual disabilities or Autism Spectrum Disorder, on a permanent or season basis, in Costco locations across Canada.
